Parliament Street is 2' 1" wide at its narrowest point, and 4' 0" at its widest. The world's narrowest street is Spreuerhofstrasse, which is in Reutlingen, a city in Baden–Württemberg, in southern Germany. This is said to be 31 cm (12.2 inches) wide at its narrowest point and 50 cm (19.7 inches) at its widest. There are several other claimants to be the second narrowest, as listed on Wikipedia's Spreuerhofstrasse page.
Parliament Street is about 50 yards long. It runs between the High Street and Waterbeer Street. It was formerly called Small Lane, but was renamed either after the Civil War when the locals decided that there was too much Parliament, or after the Great Reform Bill of 1832 as a comment on Parliamentary policy.
